I am very fortunate to have recently completed training in Advanced Facial Gua Sha, The Five Elements, Facial Reading and Diagnostics, with Katie Blake, The Skin Whisperer.  Her training has been exceptional.  I am now delighted to be offering these treatments from February 2025.

We all have areas of the face that can be analysed as 'zones',  mental,  practical and emotional.  In TCM, we are considered to be a blend of the Five Elements, Fire, Water, Metal, Earth and Wood'.  The face tells a story, it holds emotions and traits of who we are.  It is fascinating.  Facial Diagnostics help us to link to the five elements, this helps me to identify areas that need specific targeted techniques to help rebalance the system.

I use beautiful 100% Amethyst crystal tools in my Advanced Facial Gua Sha treatments.  The facial tools are very high quality and ethically sourced.  Amethyst can be used for all skin types and is said to be a powerful calming and healing tool.  It supports the circulation and lymphatic drainage, encouraging collagen and elastin production, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, nurturing the skin.  

'The Skin Whisperers' Amethyst Crystal Eye Mask is known for its ability to sooth tension, improve mental clarity, cleanse and purify, and may encourage sleep and support toxin elimination. The coolness of the crystals may help reduce puffiness and soothe tired eyes. 

'The Skin Whisperers' Amethyst Facial Gua Sha is used to lift, plump and sculpt the face, helping to release muscle tension, encouraging lymphatic drainage and boosting circulation to reduce puffiness held in the face.  The serrated edge is used to help break up irregular energy when working over tension in the fascia.  There are many techniques used to work with this tool based on your element and skin type, and areas that need more attention.

'The Skin Whisperers' Amethyst Crystal Facial dome is used combined with the Facial Gua Sha. Various techniques are used to relax the tension held in muscles and fascia throughout the face, this can feel incredibly relaxing and sculpting.  

'The Skin Whisperers' Black Obsidian Body Gua Sha' Tool is used to clear down the energy on feet prior to me working them, in the combined treatment.

Prior to your first appointment, I like to have an informal conversation on the phone to talk through any medical information and to answer any questions you may have.  When you arrive for your first appointment I will ask you to allow for a little extra time.  I will complete a thorough consultation form with you, to ascertain your skin type, any medical conditions you may have and medications you may be taking.  We will talk though how you feel from day to day, what you want to work with, and what you would like to achieve.

At the start of your treatment you can soak your feet in organic Epsom Salts, in my beautiful hand crafted copper foot bowl, warm towels will be used to dry your feet. You can then nestle down into the luxurious comfort of the warm couch, cacooned in a soft blanket, you will start to feel the tension and stress just melt away.  I will invite you to take some lovely deep breaths as you drift off into deep relaxation.

Now your skin is thoroughly cleansed I will apply the facial oil using stimulating massage techniques.  I will then begin to use the facial tools, Amethyst Gua Sha and Amethyst Facial Domes, specifically targeting areas of imbalance showing up within the facial zones, stimulating acupressure points, lifting and sculpting the facial muscles, encouraging lymphatic drainage, smoothing and releasing tension held in the facial muscles and fascia.  This is deeply relaxing.  At the end of the treatment I will apply the facial balm and encourage you to take some deep diaphragmatic breaths, I will offer you some water before you leave the treatment room.

 

For longer treatments booked with combined Foot Reflexology, after the facial balm is applied and the Amethyst Eye Mask is placed on your face,  I will then begin to stimulate and work the reflexes and acupressure points on your feet.  ​As the treatment ends I will encourage you to take some deep diaphragmatic breaths as I hold your solar plexus reflexes.  I will encourage you to stay rested on the couch before I remove the Amethyst Eye Mask and will offer you some water to before you leave the treatment room.

​

At the end of each treatment I will show you a technique to practice at home in-between treatments, this may be using a facial Gua Sha, or Facial Dome technique or showing you how to trace a meridian.  As with all treatments it is essential to hydrate well and focus on a balanced diet, exercise, breathing techniques and meditation practice as much as possible.​​

​

If you have recently had a Face Lift or facial surgery, you will need to have at least a three month gap following your surgery.  If you have Botox and Fillers, there will need to be at least a four to 6 week gap following your procedure.  Please contact me to discuss further and I will advise you accordingly.​
