Ear Reflexology and Ear Seeding is offered as a combined treatment with either foot or face treatments, or both.  The ear is full of nerve endings and considered to be a micro-system of the entire body.  Working the ears can create a form of nerve distraction.  Where pain or discomfort exists in the body, working the ears helps to stimulate nerve pathways helping to dull the perceived acuteness of that pain.  Auricular therapy is well documented for its capacity to lower pain levels in the body.

My training includes working with 90 points.  I will use various massage techniques warming though the ear, then using a probe gently detecting sensitivities that you feel.  I will place 4 or 5 natural Vaccaria ear seeds at any one treatment, and only in one ear at any given time.  It is recommended that the ear seeds remain in place for 4 or 5 days, they usually drop off then.

According to Dr Terry Olson, "Pain sensations that are due to irritated nerves can be relieved by the normalising of pathological, hypersensitive reflex pathways that interconnect the ear micro-system and the ear reflexology map, to locate the correct reflex area to address a specific painful body part."  Fascia is a fibrous connective tissue that runs throughout our bodies.  Fascia is believed to play a significant role in pain, because it is one interconnected system.  When you experience pain, the actual cause and origin of that pain can often stem from a different location in the body.

These are the 90 points I am trained to work with:

  • 61 Reflex points representing anatomical points of the body

  • 20 Functional points (dorsal and anterior surface)

  • 5 Orthodox Medicine points

  • 4 TCM points

Ear Reflexology has a very long history and dates back to 500 BC, it has developed significantly over the years.  "A double blinded research study conducted by Terry Olson in the 1970's, showed to a statistically significant level, that certain areas of the ear that were particularly active, or tender, related to specific areas of the body where someone had a certain level of pain.  Since then further studies have been undertaken to further document and prove the link between areas of the ears to areas in the body.  This served to endorse the fact that working on the ears could be used to treat certain conditions of the body"

Is it true?
Can you absolutely know that its true?
How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
Who would you be without that thought?
