Reflexology can be beneficial in supporting women through the various life stages, from teens through to Peri-Menopause and Menopausal phases.  Hormones play a vital role throughout our lives, they are essential for our health.  During the natural life phases some women may experience emotional and physical symptoms that can really impact on their day to day lives, affecting their self esteem, confidence, relationships, work commitments, family life, sleep, stress and anxiety levels.  Menopause occurs when the ovaries stop producing eggs, and oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone hormone levels drop, and periods stop for more than 1 year.

Peri-Menopause can also bring a range a symptoms which can make it hard for a woman to understand the changes that can start slowly or rapidly, everyone is different.  There are many known symptoms that directly impact women, some are listed below:

  • Night Sweats and Hot flushes

  • Vaginal Dryness and libido issues

  • Sleep Issues

  • Digestive Issues and Headaches

  • Memory issues and Mood fluctuations

  • Joint pain

  • Weight fluctations and changes in energy levels

The Menopause and Peri-Menopause can feel overwhelming to navigate. Women need to be given informed choices with factual information.  I follow the latest clinical research and keep an overall balanced and objective view of treatment protocols.  I provide bespoke foot reflexology treatments that can induce relaxation, improved sleep quality and overall wellbeing.

Maternity and Fertility Reflexology Reflexology may be used to support women during the pre-conception, pregnancy, labour and post-natal stages.  Regular treatments can be deeply relaxing and comforting.  It will be necessary to seek advice from your Midwife / Medical Practitioner before treatments can begin.

If you are experiencing fertility difficulties you will need to consult with your GP first.  Fertility issues can happen for a number of reasons, and sometimes without a medical reason or diagnosis. Reflexology treatments may be used as a supportive complimentary therapy, helping to prepare the mind and body for the physical and emotional changes that take place. Reflexology can be used alongside conventional medical treatments.
